The Mauka-Makai Community

Mauka-Makai churches are a communities of believers who follow Jesus Christ. We seek to love, respect and care for one another as a demonstration of His love for us.

Our outreach is to those who have no church home. Many in our area are disillusioned with religion. They have felt the sting of legalism with its impossible demands. Some have seen hypocrisy. Others have had no religious background and therefore see Christianity as irrelevant. The missing element has been knowing Jesus personally and experiencing the transformed life only He can bring.  We exist for our non-members and desire to develop lasting relationships with those who are seeking peace & truth.

"Mauka-Makai"

Mauka and Makai are the Hawaiian words for mountain and sea or ocean.

The Mauka-Makai communities seek to reach people with the love of Jesus wherever they may be--from the mountains to the sea.  We are involved in outreach across the island of Oahu in 3 languages and have missionaries in Central Asia, Africa, The Philippines, and New Zealand.
