Aloha,

My name is David Willweber and I am the pastor of Mauka Makai Ministries-Windward.  

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I attended Concordia University in Seward, NE, and received a BS in teaching with a double major in Theology and Sociology and a Masters degree in Family Life Ministry.  I taught in Baltimore for 6 years before moving to Oahu in 1998 to teach the Bible and oversee chapel at the Lutheran High School of Hawaii.
In 2000 I began ongoing theological and practical training with the pastors of our mother church, Good Shepherd Church.   In November of 2003 I was installed as the church planter/pastor of MMW.  

My wife Marie has been my partner in life and ministry since 1994.  Marie taught with me in the Lutheran High Schools until we had children.  She taught high school English and directed dramas. Now she enjoys working at home, spending time with family, and serving the Lord in various ways. We have been blessed with 3 children, Micah born in 2002, Anna in 2005, and Jada in 2004 and adopted into our family in 2006.
